Becoming a Web Hosting Reseller
Becoming a Reseller
Web Host
Want to make money in the web hosting
industry? The best way to start a web hosting business (if you a re a beginner)
is by getting a reseller account with an established web hosting company.
For the Beginner, you really don't
want to start spending a lot of money on getting your business off the ground
and you dont have a lot of time to learn everything about the business. Web
hosting companies have made it very easy for you to start your own web
hosting company. They ususally will have a couple of different plans to
choose from, either a very simple plan where you would just sell their existing
plans, while they give you a discount or a more advanced plan where you will
be a Private Label Reseller. This means that your customers will never know
that you are a reseller. It's perfect! They host you customers, handle all the
server aspects of it, you just have to handle your customers and run the business.
Let the web hosting companies worry about your server, downtime, etc. You can
concentrate on getting more people to your site and selling plans. Also, you
can make up your own plans if you want, this way you have full control over
the plan features and pricing. Some web hosting companies even handle support
calls for you. If they do not, there are a few companies that you can outsource
your support and sales calls to. Your web hosting company should be happy to
send you to the right place.
The biggest key for you as a reseller
is branding your website and customer service. If you outsource your calls or
not, you must have exceptional customer service in order for you to succeed
in this industry. Word of mouth is very powerful and the way to get that is
with great customer service. Whether its by helping someone set up an account,
answering a technical question or just doing something nice for your customers,
unexpectingly. Give them a month for free, get them special deals from companies
you have partnered with, anything that shows you care about them and their success
on the web. Remember that you are only as successful as your clients and your
clients are your number on priority. Rememebr these tips and you can become
a top tier web hosting company and not just another Reseller.
